I was born the youngest of five siblings in Warsaw, Poland, to a family whose generational wealth was lost to time and to countless forgotten uprisings and revolutions relegated to footnotes by the course of history. As a teenager I moved to Paris to pursue my interests in physics, chemistry and mathematics at — wait, hang on. That’s not me. That’s Marie Curie. Sorry.
In reality I was raised in a quiet, suburban Caribbean tax haven by well-meaning parents whose radical well-meaningness just begged to be rebelled against. Rebellion can take many forms, but for me it mostly took the form of not going to law school. I chose a different path – an undergraduate degree in screenwriting and media studies. The road less travelled, you might say – unless you live in LA, where it’s so well travelled it has a carpool lane.
After completing a seven year spiritual odyssey through most of the bars in West, North, and Regular Hollywood, I have emerged on a higher plane of consciousness, one with the earth, on-brief and aligned with the brand guide. My parents remain supportive.
